Personal data received or obtained from Canadian residents may be transferred to the United States where it may be used, disclosed, transferred or stored by Noritz, its service providers or independent contractors or installers in connection with your request to be provided with lists of, or referrals to, the same. We make no claims that the Site or any of its content is accessible or appropriate outside of the United States or Canada. Access to the Site may not be legal by certain persons or in certain countries. If you access the Site from outside the United States or Canada, you do so on your own initiative, at your own risk, and are responsible for compliance with local laws.



Personally identifiable information that we collect may include your name, street address, email address, phone number, fax number and any other contact or demographic information which, when used by itself, or with other data, might identify you individually (“Personal Information”).
We collect Personal Information in a number of ways when you visit this Site, including when you register to use the Site, request a quote, or complete the online Contact Form, request a referral to, or list of, potential independent contractors or installers for Noritz products, post material, request further services, enter a contest or promotion sponsored by us, report a problem with our Site, or through mobile and desktop applications you download from this Site, which provide dedicated non-browser-based interaction between you and this Site, or when you interact with our advertising and applications on third-party websites and services, if those applications or advertising include links to this Privacy Policy. Additional information that we may collect on or through the Site may include records and copies of your correspondence (including email addresses), if you contact us; your responses to surveys that we might ask you to complete for research purposes; details of transactions you carry out through our Site and of the fulfillment of your orders; or your search queries on the Site.
We collect this information directly from you when you provide it to us, or automatically as you navigate through the Site or from third parties, for example, independent contractors who may install any Noritz products at your location and wish to register information about your installed Noritz product for warranty purposes. Information collected automatically may include usage details, IP addresses, and information collected through cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies.
You also may provide information to be published or displayed (hereinafter, “posted”) on public areas of the Site, or transmitted to other users of the Site or third parties (collectively, “Submissions”). Your Submissions are posted on and transmitted to others at your own risk. We cannot control the actions of other users of the Site with whom you may choose to share your Submissions. Therefore, we cannot, and do not, guarantee that your Submissions will not be viewed by unauthorized persons.
Noritz may collect information about your internet connection, the equipment you use to access our Site and usage details as well as the install date of the Noritz product, the type of Noritz unit, its purchase date and type of heater information. Noritz may also obtain information from other sources and combine that with information collected on the Site.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected by any third party (including our affiliates and subsidiaries), including through any application or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible from or on the Site. As you navigate through and interact with our Site, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns, including:

Additionally, PROCard members who install Noritz products in their customer’s homes or other structures may provide Personal Information about such customers for the purpose of registering Noritz products under warranty provisions, trouble-shooting and other purposes relating to the installed Noritz unit. PROCard members who submit such Personal Information about such customers (which may include customer name, address, telephone number, email address, type of unit installed, date installed and other such identifying information) represent and warrant to Noritz that such PROCard member has obtained the appropriate consent from their customers prior to submitting such information to or through the Site. Such PROCard member agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Noritz, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents, successors and assigns (the “Noritz Parties”) from and against any claims, damages, costs, obligations, liabilities and expenses (including, but not limited to, reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to such PROCard member’s failure to obtain such appropriate consent.


As part of offering and improving Noritz’s products and/or services, Noritz may also automatically collect certain information through the use of “cookies.” A cookie is a small data file stored on your hard drive by a website. Among other things, cookies help us improve our Site and your experience by saving statuses and preferences. Cookies by themselves cannot be used to find out the identity of any user, but if we link cookies to personal information, we will treat the information collected by the cookies as Personally Identifiable Information. Most browsers are initially set to accept cookies, but users can change their settings to refuse browser cookies or to be alerted when browser cookies are being sent. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 18. Noritz may use Personal Information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or otherwise disclosed to you on the Site. For example, we may use Personal Information to:

  2. process your requests and transactions;
  3. conduct product research and development efforts;
  4. respond to your comments and questions and provide customer service;
  5. send you technical notices, confirmations, updates, security alerts and support and administrative messages;
  6. provide marketing materials and information regarding products or services of Noritz or our affiliates or other third parties;
  7. link or combine with other Personal Information we may obtain from third parties to help understand your needs and provide you with better service;

Noritz does not sell, rent or disclose your Personal Information to any third party, except to our subsidiaries and affiliates, and except as follows or as otherwise described to you on the Site:
(a) to independent third party contractors or installers of Noritz products in response to your request for referral to, or a list of, such third part contractors or installers;
(b) with third party vendors, consultants and other service providers who are engaged by, or working with, Noritz and who need access to such information to carry out their work (e.g., to contact you about the possible installation by an independent third party contractor of a Noritz product, with third party payment processors to facilitate online transactions, authorized installers for purposes of delivering the products and services, etc.);
(c) to comply with laws or to respond to lawful requests and legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request;
(d) to protect the rights and property of Noritz and our agents, customers and others, including to enforce our agreements, policies and Terms of Use:
(e) in an emergency situation, to protect the safety of Noritz, its customers or any other third party;
(f) in connection with any merger, sale of company assets, restructuring, reorganization, financing or acquisition of all or a portion of Noritz to another company in which Personal Information held by Noritz about our Site users is among the assets transferred;
(g) with your consent to do so, including if we notify you that the information you provide will be shared in a particular manner and you provide such information;

Noritz may provide aggregate statistics about Noritz’s customers, sales, online traffic patterns and related information to reputable third parties and nothing herein restricts the sharing of aggregated or anonymized information that does not directly identify you.


We strive to provide you with choices regarding the Personal Information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information:

  • Tracking Technologies and Advertising. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. However these third parties may provide you with ways to choose not to have your information collected or used in this way. PROCard members can review and change their Personal Information by logging into the Site and visiting their account profile page.
If you are not a PROCard member, you may send us an email at to request access to, correct or delete any Personal Information that you have provided to us. We cannot delete your Personal Information except by also deleting your user account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.
If you delete your Submissions from the Site, copies of your Submissions may remain viewable in cached and archived pages, or might have been copied or stored by other Site users. Proper access and use of information provided on the Site, including Submissions, is governed by our Terms of Use
