Project Coordinator

Comstock Park, MI

Noritz is looking for a Project Coordinator to join our Operations Team in Comstock Park MI. The Project Coordinator’s responsibilities include analyzing various projects’ financial status by collecting, monitoring, and studying job costing data for projects and recommending action. The Project Coordinator/Analyst will contribute to project planning, budgeting, and overall strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Analyzes financial results, monitor variances, identify trends and recommend actions to management
  • Gathers and analyzes revenue and cost data
  • Determines cost of operations by establishing standard costs, collecting operational data while analyzing P&L and Gross Margins
  • Tracks, forecasts, and reports on project progress including metrics and challenges
  • Prepare and present reports on key performance metrics
  • Assists management in activities concerned with the reporting and control of project and production processes; contract amounts, work orders, change orders
  • Develop and manages the information systems for monitoring project progress and controlling the reporting systems
  • Establishes a system of internal controls and the system of financial reporting
  • Follows procedures established by the organization to evaluate project results regarding schedule, costs, client relationships, quality, activities, and other performance
  • Interacts with the project manager to manage objectives, goals, and performance as well as work with the estimating department
  • Prepares construction budget tracking reports to show the cost to date vs. the original proposed budget
  • Performs market research and data mining

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

Education, Experience & Skills

  • BS/BA degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Construction Management, Project Management, or Engineering desired; or a minimum of one year of Project Management in construction experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience/knowledge of construction industry and plumbing, preferred
  • Knowledge of financial terms and principles
  • Knowledge of project control principles relating to budgeting, scheduling, tracking of actual/committed costs, change control, and forecasting
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage complex projects with multiple work phases and tight deadlines
  • Proficient use of Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and QuickBooks
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively present information
  • Occasional travel for work may be required (10%)
